BIOGRAPHY

Amos 3:3 ask: “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” We are commanded by God to be of one mind, and in Colossians Paul describes the Laodicean church as having their hearts “knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God . . .”

Dear Friends, It is with a joyful heart that I would like to introduce
myself to you and briefly share the calling and work God has so diligently
been preparing me for.
I was born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia, on the West Side of
Charleston its capitol city. While attending Stonewall Jackson High School
(1966 thru 1968) I developed an interest in music and playing an instrument.
After trying Piano, and Guitar lessons for a year, I decided it just wasn't
for me. I still had an interest in music so I help a local Rock Band in
moving their equipment from job to job. It is amazing how God will use the
things of this world to keep your path directed to His Goal for your life.
After High School I went on to Morris Harvey College, then join the United
States Air Force (1969 thru 1972). I was raised in a Christian home with
great parents, but still wondered away from the Christian foundation that
was laid by my parents.
After wondering in life for sixteen years God brought an Angel by my way,
and her name is Lynn. When I meet my wife and soul mate in October 1985, God
let even a sinner know, this was to be a turning point in my life. Lynn and
I dated for two and half years, and married July 9th, 1988.
Lynn was Saved at an early age, and also traveled with a Gospel Group in her
teens, but just like me she had wondered away from serving God. One day in
the Spring of 1993, after we were married, Lynn felt lead to visit some of
her old friends she went to church with and traveled with in years past.
Well the result of that reunion was Lynn rededicating her life to the Lord,
and a fire being rekindled in her soul. Lynn immediately started Church and
started Singing for the Lord in the Living Life Victory Center Church,
Praise and Worship Team. She also started praying and witnessing to me about
the Lord. Finally I started going to church with her to hear her sing.
Little did I know that Her witnessing and praying would lead me back to the
Lord. But then one night, June 6th, 1993, the message got hold of me and I
got saved! Praise God!
Immediately after being saved I wanted to get involved. The Praise Team need
a drummer and I always wanted to play the drums but never had a reason to
learn until I got saved. I started lessons right away and by December of
that same year I was playing with the Praise Team. Shortly after that I
started singing solo specials, which lead to Lynn and I singing Duet
specials.
After playing and singing in our church Praise Team from 1993 to 2000, we
felt the call to start Twin-Heart Ministries. God impressed on my heart that
we could reach a lot of people with His whiteness in song and word, with the
mission to exhort the people with encouraging music and testimonies.
Through the past few years, God has allowed me the privilege to sing with
and get to know some of the top groups and individuals in gospel music.
After 14 years of service in music ministry, God still amazes me today with
the opportunities He provides for our group. I have committed all that I am,
all that I have to his service.
I believe that God gave His very best for me on Calvary, and I will always
strive to have a Ministry of Excellence, and give my very best to His work.

My name is Lynn Lightner; I have had the privilege carrying the name
"Lightner" for 19 years now. I am married to a wonderful man, companion, and
truly my best friend. He is everything I had hoped for, dreamed about and
ask God to provide. I am very thankful and to also be able to minister with
he, well it doesn’t get any better than that. I am Blessed.

I have sung gospel music since I was very young. My Father passed away when
I was three months old, but my Mother gave me a Christian home and I was
raised in church. In 1993 I began to sing a lot of solo songs, Troy and I
did a lot of duet music, and we both sang as back up singers in our home
church. We sang and were a part of that until the year 2000 when God called
us to our ministry Twin Hear Trio.

God has touched my heart with a special place for the Deaf. One of the
ministries I enjoy is "Hands of Praise" I love to interrupt for the deaf
with sermons, but I especially love to minister in sign to songs. God has
allowed me to have some very special friends that are deaf and they have
taught me so much.

When we are not on the road ministering my favorite things to do are, of
coarse number one would be to train and show dogs. That is my passion I love
dogs and I love to see them become all they can be. Very close to that is
riding my Harley Davidson that Troy designed and built for me. I can't think
of one thing that comes close to hearing my drag pipes roaring down the high
way.

Hello everyone my name is Ron Mayes.  I have been singing gospel music for almost 30 years now. Wow, that’s almost telling my age.  Gospel music is my passion.  I started singing when I was 10 years old with my family, “The Mayes Family.”  After twenty-two years, everyone went their own way.  My brother became a minister so his wife traveled with him and my mother started getting osteoarthritis, and it was very hard for her to walk and get on stages.  I on the other hand joined another group, “ The Messengers” for about three years when the group disbanded.  After about a year of praying and a big valley, Troy Lightner called and ask me to join Twin Heart Trio, so after praying about it I did just that.  He and Lynn are wonderful people to be around and to travel with.

In 1998 I started dating a wonderful woman named Kim and in 2000 we were married.  We live in Milton, WV and have a son named Cody.  I also have three other little ones and their names are Casper (Bichon Frise), Max (Bichon Frise) and Kitty.  I have owned my own business for 17 years and Kim is a Registered Nurse.  I was saved when I was 10 years old and I remember it just like it was yesterday.  God has truly blessed my family and me so abundantly that I could never start to tell what all he has done.  So therefore I want to serve him using the talent he gave me.  It is so good to be a Christian, and by that I mean it is an honor to be able to say I am a Christian.
